Psalm 72 presents an interesting Listening Practice challenge.
It’s a prayer-poem written in praise of the king of a small, tribal nation three centuries ago.
And yet, through this prayer-poem we can listen for voice of the Divine and for what might speak to us from our own lives. Through the images of nature, we hear the Divine Family speak to us and we are encouraged to look beyond ourselves toward the abundance of God. We also hear an encouragement to record our stories and prayers.
What do you notice as you listen with us to Psalm 72?
